All my work at Nordic Hardware is done in my spare time since I attend university full time in the city of Lund. Education wise I hold a masters degree in Marketing and at the moment I am writing my Bachelor¡¦s Thesis for my degree in Informatics.

Part 1¡VThe Beginning
Most of the editors first began as news editors, and then gradually became hardware editors, reviewing new and interesting tech products. With hard work and a passion for computers, they transformed their love for hardware and gaming into a profession.

Editor in Chief Anton Karmehed:
The reason I got involved with NH was my interest in hardware. I have always liked fiddling with computers, so testing hardware and writing reviews was like a dream to me.My first attempt was to be a hardware editor was when a Swedish computer games magazine were searching for new editors that could cover the hardware market. I sent in a test review on a Voodoo 2 SLI configuration but never got an answer on my application. But that didn¡¦t discourage me and probably age was a factor as I was only 16 or 17 years old at the time.

As NH was started a year or to after that I was one of the first hardware editors to get onboard, and I got into the organization trough a friend of mine that had been recruited as a cooler editor on NH. I wrote a test review and was accepted to join the crew as a hardware editor.

Christopher Zell - Intel Pentium 4 platform:
Since I already had a huge interest for hardware I didn¡¦t see it as a job more like an extra hobby. I have played computer/video games most of my life having a passion for PC hardware and consumer electronics came quite naturally since I needed these products to play the games I wanted. One thing led to another and today I hope to make a career out of what from the beginning only was fun and games.

My first work tasks at NH consisted of posting news and articles about video cards. Basically I assisted Anton Nilsson, who at that time was in charge of the video card section. After a few weeks consisting mainly of news posting I was given the opportunity to write my first video card review and of course I seized it. A few more video card and other product reviews followed but then I moved on to mainly reviewing motherboards.
