|  8th April 2005 – Scan today revealed images of the special edition 3XS ACON Isotope PC system that has been specially commissioned for use by competitors at the ACON5 UK Final, taking place on 23rd & 24th April at Uttoxeter Racecourse.
Finalists for Warcraft III and Counter Strike 1.6 will make use of the systems as they compete to win places at the Global Final in China, June 2005.
The unique case design of the mATX based system, customised with the ACON5 logo and date inscription will not only be used at the ACON5 UK event, but will also go on sale at the Scan.co.uk website.
Priced at £799, the limited edition ACON5 system incorporates an Intel 3.2GHz processor, ABIT Intel 915 chipset motherboard, ABIT ATI X700Pro graphics, 1Gb Corsair memory, a DVD-RW drive and 250Gb HDD storage.
Scan will begin taking pre-orders within the next week, and orders will be fulfilled after the ACON5 UK Final.
